JAJARKOT: Children Welfare Committee of Jajarkot has cautioned local political parties and civilians against the use of children in the ongoing agitation. Accusing political parties and commoners of using innocent kids in the agitation that has been on for days seeking a mid-west province and Surkhet as its provincial capital, the committee issued a statement on Thursday to protest the wrong practice. “Though one has the right to hold demonstration, rally and the like, it should be done without encroaching the rights of others, especially of kids who are of tender age,” read the statement endorsed by Child Rights Officer Dambar Bahadur Rokaya of Jajarkot. Almost all government offices, besides educational institutions, banks and market places remained shut in the district headquarters after agitators issued warning against any defiance of the bandh from any sector.
