KATHMANDU: The Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum-Democratic (MJF-D) has hinted of consensus if the big three political parties agreed on eight provinces. A meeting of the MJF-D held at party office, Sanepa, reiterated that the model of seven-province federalism would not be acceptable to it. The party has announced stir both on streets and the Parliament against the seven-province map, said party Vice-Chairman Jitendra Dev. It is of the stand that three provinces be made in the southern plains of the country and five in the hill and mountain acknowledging the geographic identity, Dev added. According to the party, it will launch struggles in the districts with the demand of eight provinces in recognition to the Tharu identity. General Secretary of the party, Ram Janam Chaudhary, said, 'Party leaders are determined to go to the districts for struggle. But their struggle will be different from other rparties' struggle.
