Curfew in Nepalgunj, Kohalpur

Nepalgunj, August 25 District Administration Office, Banke, has issued curfew to avoid possible clash in Nepalgunj and Kohalpur from today afternoon. DAO clamped the curfew order after Tharuhat cadres demonstrated with domestic weapons. Banke Chief District Officer Bed Prasad Lekhak said the curfew order was imposed from 2:00pm today till 6:00am tomorrow. The curfew covers Phultekra to the east, Nandani Mill to the west, Rajhan Chowk to the north, Jamunaha border area to the south in Nepalgunj and Chhapergaidi to the east, Samjhana Chowk to the west, Kaushilanagar to the north and Rajhan Chowk of Kohalpur. Huge numbers of Armed Police Force and Nepal Police have been deployed in Nepalgunj with Nepali Army, APF, and NP personnel deployed in Kohalpur to avoid any untoward incident. P Basanta Panta of Banke District Police Office said no incident of violence was reported in Nepalgunj today. As many as six curfew violators were taken under control, he added.
