Lawyers support agitation

Rajbiraj, September 3 Various professional organisations and associations today held peaceful demonstrations in Rajbiraj, expressing solidarity with the ongoing agitation. Today, Appellate court Bar unit and Saptari District Court Bar unit together staged a rally, chanting slogans seeking the guarantee of human rights and end to the murders and violence, besides urging the government to hold immediate talks with the agitating sides. The rally, with a huge participation of lawyers, traversed through various parts of the town. Similarly, Saptari Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Sagarmatha Transportation Entrepreneurs’ Association too held a demonstration here demanding that the government address the legitimate demands of the agitators at the earliest. The rally concluded in a mass meeting at Gajendra Chowk. Incumbent Saptari CCI Chair Arun Kumar Pradhan and former chair Manoj Kumar Mundhada, among others, spoke. Similarly, in a show of solidarity with the Madhesi-Tharu agitation, Chhinnamasta Trade Association, unit committee Sakhada also held a demonstration in Rajbiraj today.
