SANAA, YEMEN:  Yemeni medical officials say airstrikes from the Saudi-led coalition fighting the country's rebels have wounded 17 people in the capital, some of whom were school children taking final exams. Witnesses and security officials from both sides of the conflict said Sunday's airstrikes destroyed a key rebel encampment in downtown Sanaa, hitting a school, several restaurants and the nearby Saudi and Emirati embassies. Yemen is torn by fighting between the rebels known Houthis and their allies against exiled President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi's coalition-backed forces. The security officials said the warplanes also targeted weapons caches in the mountains of Noqum and Ayban, east and west of Sanaa. All officials and witnesses spoke on condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to brief reporters or for fear of reprisals.
