Public offence case against TMDP's Sonal, Singh for arson, vandalism

BIRGUNJ: Police on Wednesday filed a public offence case against Tarai Madhes Democratic Party (TMDP) General Secretary Jitendra Sonal and his party’s Bara district chairman Nawal Kishor Singh for their alleged involvement in arson during the violent protests in Bara. Police Inspector Purushottam Khadka of the Area Police Office, Simara, informed that the District Administration Office, Bara, has remanded the duo in custody for 15 days for further investigation. According to police, Sonal and Singh were arrested for vandalising and torching parked trucks in the premises of Saurabh Enterprises in Lipanimal-9 of Bara district.
