RAMECHHAP: The death toll has reached six. Police personnel and locals are carrying out the rescue operations and rushing the injured to Manthali. (Updated) 3 killed in Ramechhap bus accident RAMECHHAP: At least three persons were killed in a bus accident in Salu, near the district headquarters Manthali, of Ramechhap, on Friday. The passenger bus (Na 4 Kha 5248) had left the district headquarters for Gothgaun village of the district. Only few minutes after beginning of the journey, the bus fell off around 30 metres down the road in Gairathok, Salu, Manthali Municipality-7 at around 5 pm today, police said. The victims have been identified as Dilmaya Magar of Manthali-7, Hem Bahadur Thapa of Gothgaun-4 and Bhim Bahadur Budhathoki of Gothgaun-5. More than three dozen passengers were injured. Police Head Constable Ram Bahadur KC said around 25 of them are critical, hinting the casualties may rise. The injured have been rushed to Manthali-based health facilities for treatment. Around 50 persons including its driver and conductor were on board the bus. Causes behind the accident are not immediately known.
