Kathmandu, September 18 The Association of Nepalese Madhesis in the UK has submitted memorandum to the Embassy of Nepal, British prime minister, Human Rights Association and other international diplomats and organisations in the UK to draw their attention towards grave fundamental human rights violation and suppression of Madhesis and Tharus in Nepal, stated a press statement issued by ANMUK. Pushkar Patel, ANMUK secretary, said the association has taken the responsibility of highlighting âthe governmentâs cruel and inhuman action leading to the killing of innocent Madhesis and Tharus, including children and women in Nepal.â ANMUK members had gathered and staged demonstrations on the premises of the British Parliament on 17 September, 2015 against the governmentâs suppression of peaceful protests despite the Supreme Courtâs interim order against the use of lethal force on protestors. ANMUK will continue to support Madhesis and Tharus in Nepal to protect their freedom of speech and their right to protest against injustice, inequality and unfair treatment, said the press statement.
