UML lawmaker's house vandalised in Birgunj

BIRGUNJ: Protesters demonstrating against the promulgation of Nepal's Constitution on Sunday vandalised the house of CPN-UML lawmaker Raj Kumar Gupta in Birgunj of Parsa. Gupta's house in Ranighat, Birgunj Sub-Metropolitan City-14 of the district was vandalised by an angry mob of protesters at around 4 pm today. Gupta represents Parsa Constituency-3 in the constitution writing body. As the Nepal's Constitution 2072 is being promulgated from the Constituent Assembly after 5 pm today, cadres of Tarai-centric parties have intensified protesters in Birgunj. Earlier, one protester was killed in the town as police opened fire this afternoon. READ ALSO:
