Indian Ambassador meets officiating Foreign Minister

KATHMANDU: Officiating Minister for Foreign Affairs Khaga Raj Adhikari and Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Ranjit Rae, had a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Singha Durbar on Friday. During the meeting, Minister Adhikari shared the current situation at the border checkpoints between Nepal and India and sought the cooperation of the Government of India for uninterrupted movement of vehicles carrying essential supplies to Nepal as before. While highlighting the significance of excellent relations existing between the two governments and peoples, he stressed on the need to remove the lapses in the supply chain that has been surfaced in recent days. He also assured that there would not be any security problem inside the Nepali territory for the transport vehicles since arrangements are already in place for their security, said a press release issued by the Foreign Ministry. He also reiterated full commitment to ensuring security of life and property of the Indian nationals in Nepal. On the occasion, Ambassador Rae said that he would convey the issues raised by the Minister to the higher authorities of the Government of India. READ ALSO:
