KATHMANDU: Women Peace Network, a loose network of women, on Friday said that human rights violations by the protesters in the ongoing agitation in Tarai/Madhes had largely affected women. Issuing a press statement, Dr Renu Adhikari Rajbhandari, coordinator of WPN, said continuous strike for the past several weeks had hit the daily-wage labourers the hardest. WPN also appealed to both the government and the agitating parties to hold dialogue to restore peace.
