Minister Thapa leaves for Delhi, to talk with Indian officials regarding supply obstruction

KATHMANDU: Minister for Commerce and Supplies, Sunil Bahadur Thapa, has left for India to take part in Commerce Ministers' meeting in New Delhi, India. Talking to mediapersons at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Minister Thapa informed that he would talk about the recent problem seen at border points regarding the supply of goods. Similarly, he added that he would hold discussions with high level political leaders of India about the recently promulgated new constitution. He assured that the recent problem seen in the supply of goods from Indian border points could be resolved through dialogues. It is noted that Nepal and India both are the members of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and South Asian Free Trade Area (SAFTA). Minister Thapa is scheduled to return home on October 1. In the three-day meeting, issues related to bilateral trade among others would be discussed, it is learned.
