KATHMANDU: International airlines operating flights to and from Nepal have continued their services despite acute shortage of fuel in the country by refilling in foreign stations. A total of 27 international airlines are operating 35 flights to and from the country every day. Of them, China Southern Airlines has halted its service citing fuel shortage, according to Civil Aviation Authority Office at the Tribhuvan International Airport. Nepal Airlines Corporation has halted the supply of aviation fuel since 12:00 noon Tuesday following the shortage of the fuel. There is short supply of petro products in the country following obstructions at the border points. The TIA-based NOC depot supplies 250,000 liters of aviation fuel to international aircrafts and 50,000 litres to domestic aircrafts during normal times.
