Madhesi Front decides to continue agitation, blockade

KATHMANDU: With a decision to give continuity to the ongoing agitation including obstruction of supplies from India to Nepal in the Tarai districts, the United Democratic Madhesi Front on Sunday formed a four-member team to hold talks with the three major parties and the government.   Madhesi Front parties hold meeting in Kathmandu KATHMANDU: The top leaders of the parties in United Democratic Madhesi Front are reviewing the ongoing agitation that they have been launching in Tarai districts since mid-August. Chairman of Tarai Madhesh Democratic Party Mahantha Thakur, FSFN Chairman Upendra Yadav, Sadbhawana Party Co-Chairman Laxman Lal Karna and Chairman of Tarai Madhesh Sadbhawana Party Mahendra are likely to sketch out a new strategy after the government has called the agitating parties for talks in order to address their concerns regarding the provisions in the newly promulgated Constitution.
