Ultralight aircraft goes missing over Pokhara sky

POKHARA: An ultralight aircraft with two passengers that departed from Pokhara has gone missing since this morning. The craft was being piloted by a Russian national Valerie Putin (50) and he was accompanied by a South African woman, who has been identified as 40-year-old Elizabeth Well. The craft is missing since 11:30 am, according to SP Hari Bahadur Pal of the District Police Office. The aircraft, owned by Pokhara Ultralight Company, had taken off at 10: 35 am and was out of contact after about an hour while flying near the Machhapuchhre Mountain, he added. A helicopter has been dispatched for the rescue, the official informed.
