BIRGUNJ: Leaders affiliated to Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum-Democratic in Bara and Parsa districts have resigned from the party in masse. They have accused their party Chairman Bijay Kumar Gachhadar of 'betraying the sentiments of Madhesi people and the ongoing protests by joining the government led by KP Sharma Oli.' Sashi Kapur Miya, MJF-D Parsa district chairman, during a press meet, blamed Gachhadar for joining the government despite the ongoing protests in the Tarai region. He further said it was unfortunate that Madhes-based parties have split into two factions. He also slammed the leader claiming he lost his moral ground by casting his vote for the selection of the new prime minister. Birendra Lal Nepali, a MJF-D central treasurer, blamed leaders of Madhes-based parties including Upendra Yadav, Mahantha Thakur and Sarad Singh Bhandari for betraying sentiments of the ongoing protests of Madhesi people.
