KATHMANDU: Newly elected Speaker Onsari Gharti has said the unanimous election of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker has given a message of unity in the Nepali politics. Talking to the media while emerging from the Legislature-Parliament upon her nomination to the post of Speaker on Friday evening, Gharti, who earlier served as the Deputy Speaker, said she took the election as a symbol of triumph of Nepali people's decade-long struggle for their rights. She further insisted on the polity of unity to enforce the Constitution and lead the country towards prosperity. Similarly, newly elected Deputy Speaker Ganga Prasad Yadav said his election was a sterling example of inclusiveness in the politics. The swearing in ceremony of the newly elected Speaker and Deputy Speaker has been scheduled for on Sunday.
