DHANGADI: A man was arrested possession of hides and bones of endangered Bengal tiger from Ghodaghodi-1 of Kailali district on Friday. A team deployed from the Far-Western Regional Police Office, Dipayal had nabbed him from his residence. The arrestee has been identified as Gopi Ram Chaudhary from Sukkhad of Ghodaghodi Municipality-1 in Kailali district. According to SI Birendra Johari, who led the investigation team, police have seized a six-foot long and 24-inch wide tiger skin and 240 grams of tiger bones. The police had acted on a tip-off about his involvement in the transaction of body parts of the rare species. Police said Chaudhary has been handed over to the District Forest Office for further investigation.
