King’s B’day marked

KATHMANDU: A function was organised by the Armed Police Force to celebrate King Gyanendra’s birthday at the APF headquarters in Halchowk. Garlanding the pictures of the King and Queen, APF Inspector General Sahabir Thapa wished the King long life and good health. IGP Thapa presented Paradesh Sewa Padak to 97 APF officers and constables. — HNS

Man found dead

KATHMANDU: A 37-year-old man was found dead in a house owned by a trust at Sundhara on Thursday. Police sources said Sher Bahadur Thapa had gone to sleep as usual at around 9 p.m. on Wednesday. His body has scars and wounds, which suggest he could have been murdered, police said. Inspector Dhiraj Singh of Janasewa ward police station said the body has been sent to TU Teaching hospital for post-mortem. — HNS
