Kathmandu receives 140,000 lt diesel, 20,000 lt aviation fuel

KATHMANDU: As much as 140,000 litre diesel and 20,000 litre aviation fuel has been sent to the Capital from the far-western town of Dhangadhi on Wednesday. Seven tankers of diesel and a tanker of aviation fuel have been dispatched for Kathmandu form Dhangadhi today, according to Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) Dhangadhi regional office chief, Sharad Paudel. The Rastriya Samachar Samiti reported that the fuel imported via Kailali border check point has been sent to Kathmandu. The nation is reeling under an acute shortage of fuel for last few weeks due to obstructions at various Indo-Nepal check points.
