Nepali Congress decides to field Kul Bahadur Gurung for Prez, Amiya Kumar Yadav for Veep

KATHMANDU: The main opposition party Nepali Congress has decided to field its senior leader Kul Bahadur Gurung and Amiya Kumar Yadav in the Presidential and Vice-Presidential elections respectively. A Central Working Committee meeting held this morning made the decision to this effect. The election for the post of President has been scheduled for Wednesday and Vice-President on Saturday. Earlier on Monday, the ruling CPN-UML had decided to field its Vice-Chairman Bidya Devi Bhandari in the presidential election. The UCPN-Maoist's Standing Committee on Monday had decided to field party leader Nanda Kishor Pun as its candidate in the Vice-President’s election.
