KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Kamal Thapa left for Geneva, Switzerland on Monday evening, leading a 15-member Nepali delegation to attend the Universal Periodic Review of human rights situation worldwide. Representatives from 193 countries are taking part in the event coordinated by the United Nations with a focus on the human rights situation of the member states. Talking to journalists at the TIA, DPM Thapa said the Birgunj incident would not affect the ongoing talks between the government and the agitating Madhesi parties. He also appealed to all sides to maintain patience and exercise tolerance.
