Police fire 4 rounds of bullets in the air in Birgunj

BIRGUNJ: Security personnel fired four rounds of bullets in the air in Birgunj on Tuesday. It has been learned that the security personnel fired three rounds of bullets at Brahma Chowk and one round infront of the Maisthan Temple after the cadres of United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) started staging demonstrations by defying the curfew imposed by the District Administration Office, Parsa. The indefinite curfew was imposed from 3 pm yesterday. The action has dispersed the UDMF cadres in various directions. Meanwhile, the cadres of UDMF have hurled a petrol bomb at the police. The bomb hit a motorcyclist instead resulting minor buns in his arms and legs. The injured has been identified as Bharat Nepal. He is being treated at the Narayani Sub-Regional Hospital for the injuries he sustained.
