PRAGUE: The Czech Republic is ready to ease rules for well-qualified Ukrainians to get a work permit. Foreign Minister Lubomir Zaoralek says the programme’s first stage will make it easier for some 500 university and high school graduates, including IT specialists, to get jobs. Zaoralek said on Wednesday the programme will be reviewed after six months and possibly expanded for more Ukrainians and also workers from unspecified other countries though the minister insists it has nothing to do with the current migrant crisis. The Czech Republic has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the EU and local companies complain about a lack of candidates in technical professions. The programme also reflects high demand among Ukrainians. More than 100,000 Ukrainians currently live in this country of 10 million.
