KATHMANDU: Police confiscated 40 tola illegally imported gold from two men at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Wednesday. Amar Kusum (32)  of Bhedpu-7 of  Dolkha and Indra Bahadur Giri (28) of  Khalanga-5 in Rukum district  were detained by the police during a security check. The duo had landed at the Kathmandu-based TIA from Qatar on a Qatar Air QR 646 flight. Police said each of them had hidden two biscuits of the precious yellow metal weighing 10 tola each in pockets of their pants.
