PARIS: The opening alpine skiing World Cup event of the season has had to be postponed due to a lack of snow, the International Ski Federation said on Thursday. The men’s and women’s slaloms due to take place in Levi next weekend, have been called off following an FIS inspection of the slopes. Temperatures have been too high for snow canons to be used to create artificial snow.
