Garbage of Biratnagar prison house utilised to generate electricity

MORANG: Electricity has been generated in the Biratnagar Prison House through the alternative energy technology by the District Development Committee, Morang. Gyanendra Singh, Officer at the Alternative Energy Centre informed that three kilowatt of power is generated from two toilets of 35 cube meters in the prison house. Singh further said, the power is enough to illuminate the prison house as well as four ovens are used for cooking meal too. The technology was installed at the cost of Rs 500,000 informed the prison house administration.
