POKHARA: Nepali Congress senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba stated that the incumbent government led by KP Sharma Oli could not last long. Speaking at a party cadres’ meeting in Pokhara Kaski today, Deuba said the government formed with many parties would soon topple, even without any blow from the opposition party. Criticising the party President Sushil Koirala’s candidacy in the prime ministerial election, he explained that the party would have to pay the price of Koirala's decision.
Provided that the party had moved forward in compliance with the agreement with other parties, the party might have bagged positions of the President, ministers and others, Deuba added. Meanwhile, he has urged the party members to forget the past, correct the errors and move forward with active participation towards a better future of the party. He also spoke against the Madhesi parties’ protests for they showed their dissatisfaction in the way that directly made an impact upon the daily lives of the people with shortage of essential goods and a huge loss in every sector. Likewise, party leader Minendra Rijal said that rather than crying over the spilled milk, the party should try to work together for positive development. He also stated that the party should act as a responsible opposition party and work to find a better solution to solve the unrest.
