JHAPA: A total of 40 vehicles carrying daily essentials entered Nepal via Jhapa’s Kakarbhitta border point on Sunday. Nirman Bhattarai, revenue officer, at Mechi Revenue Office, said not a single vehicle ferrying petroleum products has entered the country for the past six days. According to DSP Shyam Krishna Adhikari, at Area Police Office Kakarbhitta, around three dozen tankers carrying petroleum products have been stranded on the Indian side since Tuesday.
