Baglung: Acute water shortage has hit Baglung bazaar after the drinking water pipeline was washed away in a landslide triggered by a two-day rainfall on Sunday. The Baglung Municipality said pipeline directing water to the bazaar from Res Khola was washed away by a landslide. —HNS
FNJ flays govt
Kathmandu: The Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ), issuing a statement, slammed the government for keeping the editor of Gramin Samachar fortnightly, Bhadra Nath Adhikari, under detention without any reason. The Central Regional Administrator in Birgunj had freed Adhikari on Saturday after keeping him under detention for 26 hours. “This kind of inhuman act will only force the FNJ to take to streets.” —HNS
