KATHMANDU: Rekha Ghimire and Sam Doublard won the women’s and junior section titles of the Qatar Airways Open Golf Tournament here at the Gokarna Golf Club on Friday. Ghimire accumulated 29 points to claim the women’s section trophy, while Mi Jeong Ju of Korea came second with 27 points. In junior section, Doublard came first with 16 points, finishing ahead of Aditi Ghimire who scored 14 points. A total of six women golfers played over 18 holes, while eight junior golfers competed over nine holes on the first day of the tournament, while 98 others will play their rounds on Saturday. The annual tournament is sponsored by Qatar Airways Pvt Ltd.
