Major parties agree to advance Constitution Amendment Bill

KATHMANDU: Major parties of the ruling and opposition sides have agreed to advance the Constitution Amendment Bill at the Parliament, but in consent with agitating Madhes-based parties. A meeting of Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, UCPN-Maoist, Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal, Rastriya Prajatantra Party and Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum-Democratic agreed to proceed with the Bill, currently pending at the House. PM KP Sharma Oli had called a meeting of the parties to find out way out of the ongoing political crisis in the nation, at his residence this morning. Meanwhile, the ruling and opposition parties would hold talks with the agitating Madhesi parties separately. Today's meeting at the PM's residence decided to talk differently to solve the ongoing agitation in Tarai region and blockade imposed by the sourthern neighbour.
