BIRGUNJ: The Narayani Stadium in Birgunj, which was in a dilapidated state, is undergoing renovation after two decades. Rs 1.388 million would be spent for the maintenance of 84.6 metre-long eastern parapet and Rs 50,000 for the reconstruction of the track and field at the stadium. Players, coaches and other stakeholders have expressed their happiness over the renovation efforts that started in an initiative by Mandev Hajara, the chairman of the Central Regional Sports Development Board.
