India, Japan agree on military sales, train, nuclear deal

NEW DELHI: India and Japan have signed agreements on military purchases for India's armed forces, high-speed trains and upgrading India's infrastructure. They also reached an agreement for cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy, with the final deal to be signed after technical details are finalized. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Saturday described the agreements as a new era of cooperation between the two countries.
