Janamorcha tells Maoists to free party activists

General-Secretary of the Janamorcha Nepal, Navaraj Subedi, has warned the Maoists that his party would toughen its policy against them (the Maoists) if the abducted activists were not released immediately. At a programme organised at Raspurkot area of Pyuthan today, Subedi
demanded that the Maoists release four Janamorcha activists, who were abducted from eastern Pyuthan on Thursday. The abductees have been identified as district committee member Gopal Raj Sharma of Raspurkor ward num,ber seven, Dhan Prasad Poudel of Raspurkot-6, Tilak Bahadur Sharma of Dharampani-3 and Gir Bahadur Shrestha. It was informed at the programme that an activist of Baglung, Gorishwor Pande, who was in Maoist custody for more than two months, has managed to escape. Meanwhile, General Secretary of the Ekta Kendra Masal Mohan Bikram Singh, in a press release today, said if the abducted Janamorcha Nepal activists are not released, they will initiate nationwide protest against the Maoists.
