Revenue collection up

BHARATPUR: Bharatpur Municipality has collected Rs 84.468 million revenue in the last fiscal year, which is an increase of 29.68 per cent from the previous year. Except for Rs 32.5 million of local development fees, remaining incomes were generated through other taxes. The revenue raised from house and land tax was five times higher than last year. — RSS

ONGC, Mittal group JV

NEW DELHI: Leading Indian oil producer ONGC is planning to team up with LN Mittal group, the world’s biggest steel producer, to acquire oilfields, build refineries and lay pipelines abroad. The move comes as energy-hungry India, aggressively seeks stakes in foreign oil and gas projects and is moving to strengthen ties with large energy producers. — AFP
