President's prayer at Pashupatinath Temple

KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari today visited the Pashupatinath Temple to pray for national and global welfare. To pray that the Nepali citizens be relived of the ongoing Tarai unrest and the border blockade, President Bhandari reached at around 10:20 am and offered a special puja at the Temple, informed Dr Govinda Tondon, Member-Secretary of the Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT). President Bhandari received a special welcome by locals with traditional Dhime music and Swastibachan from priests of Nepal Veda Bidyashram. After offering her prayers in other temples besides the Pashupatinath, Bhandari said she donated her salary of the first month of her office equal to Rs 129,360 to the PADT, informed Trust's Chief Account Officer Prem Hari Dhungana.
