BERLIN: German factory orders posted a second consecutive month of solid growth in November, led by demand from inside the country. The Economy Ministry said on Thursday that orders were up 1.5 per cent compared with the previous month. That followed a 1.7 per cent gain in October. Orders from inside Germany were up 2.6 per cent and those from outside the 19-country eurozone rose 1.4 per cent. Demand from within the eurozone slipped 0.5 per cent. ING-DiBa Economist Carsten Brzeski said the figures illustrated a shift of German economy toward more domestic activity last year, which he said saw a ‘successful transition toward more balanced growth’.
