KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress Vice-President Ram Chandra Paudel returned home on Thursday night after attending a programme of Patanjali Yogpeeth in Haridwar and holding meetings with Indian senior leaders and ministers in New Delhi. During the meetings, NC Vice-President Paudel apprised the Indian leaders and ministers of complexities surfaced in Nepal-India friendly relations and the problems Nepali people are facing of late. On the occasion, he stressed the need to ease the current disruption of supply on the border and give an outlet to the problems at the earliest possible. Leader Paudel said that he found Indian side aware about the intricacies seen in Nepal for no smooth supply of goods and services. 'The Indian side shared their efforts to resolve the problems', the Vice-President told the Rastriya Samachar Samiti. He further said, 'I told Indian leaders and ministers to show proactive measures to immediately explore solution of the problems and ease the supply arrangement. From our end, we are effortful to address Nepal's domestic problems through mutual dialogue and consultations'. Paudel further shared that he found the Indian leaders – to whom he met in Delhi – expressing goodwill and sympathy to the crisis in Nepal and with opinions to not prolong the existing situation anymore. Congress-I leader Karan Singh on Thursday expressed with him his concern over the difficulties facing by Nepali people and stressed the need to find out amicable solution very soon, Paudel noted. Likewise, Vice-President Paudel held meetings with leaders of different parties including Bharatiya Janata Party Vice-President Shyam Jajas. On the first day of his Delhi sojourn, Paudel called on Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, lawmaker DP Tripathee and former ambassadors to Nepal.
