KATHMANDU: The Banker, a premier monthly magazine on global finance published by the renowned Financial Times Group of the United Kingdom, feted Nepal's former Finance Minister Dr. Ram Sharan Mahat with the Global and Asia-Pacific Finance Minister of the Year 2016 Award amid a function in London on Tuesday. Dr Mahat, a leader of Nepali Congress, was honoured with the world's best finance minister award for his exemplary work in the aftermath of the disastrous earthquakes that hit Nepal in April and May, and pushing for reforms to improve governance in the country’s Ministry of Finance.
