Leopard enters Kirtipur settlements, injures 1

KATHMANDU: Officials say a leopard has wandered into a suburb south of Nepal's capital and attacked a man who was walking along a road. Police official Megh Bahadur Khatri said forest guards and police were quickly called to the suburb, Kirtipur, and found the leopard inside a house, where they shot it with tranquiliser guns. Forest officer Radha Gharti said the animal was later released in a forest north of Kathmandu. Kirtipur is near a wooded area and wild animals occasionally enter houses in search of food. READ ALSO:
