KATHMANDU: The Nepal football team arrived home with the Bangabandhu Gold Cup trophy on Saturday afternoon. Thousands of fans thronged the Tribhuvan International Airport to give the players, who ended the 23-year trophy drought of Nepal, a hero's welcome. The All Nepal Football Association organisED a victory parade to welcome the champions. The rally passed through Gaushala, Maitidevi, Dilli Bazaar, Putali Sadak, Pradarshani Marga, Sahid Gate, Sundhara and Tripureshwar before converging into a function at the Dasharath Stadium, according to ANFA.
