UDMF continues House boycott

Lawmakers of the protesting United Democratic Madhesi Parties (UDMF) obstruct the Parliament meeting demanding that the House proceedings should not move ahead until their demands meet in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu, Nepal on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015. KATHMANDU: Expressing dissatisfaction over the first amendment to the Constitution that the Parliament endorsed on Saturday, lawmakers associated with the United  Democratic Madhesi Front continued the House boycott. As soon as the meeting began on Monday, Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal Chief Whip Shivaji Yadav announced the boycott claiming the amendment did not address their concerns. After the UDMF lawmakers walked out, Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar announced beginning of the zero hour. Lawmakers of various parties aired their views about contemporary issues during the meeting.
