Extreme cold claims two in Biratnagar

Morang, January 25 At least two persons died of cold in the past two days in Biratnagar. A rickshaw puller, who was found in an unconscious state, breathed his last while being rushed to hospital for treatment this morning. His identity has yet to be established, as per Morang Police Spokesperson DSP Pramod Kharel. Similarly, Laxmi Sarkar, 55, who had been residing on the premises of Birantanagr-based Koshi Zonal Hospital after the April 25 earthquake, died due to excessive cold yesterday evening.
