Consulate General of India gifts ambulances, buses

BIRGUNJ: Coinciding with the 67th Republic Day of India, the Birgunj-based Consulate General of India donated seven ambulances and two buses to local organisations here in Birgunj on Tuesday. Consul General of India Anju Ranjan handed over keys of  the vehicles to the representatives of the organisations durign a function organised to mark India's Republic Day. Those receiving ambulances are Pokhariya Hospital, RM Kedia Eye Hospital, and Amarpatti-based Shree Hanuman Temple Development Committee  of Parsa, Hetaunda-based Makawanpur Cooperative Hospital, Social Welfare Agriculture Co-operation of Rautahat district, and Narkatiya-based Community Maternity Home of Rautahat. Likewise, Mithila Institution of Technology Dhanusha and Shree Nepal Rastriya Secondary School of Bhikhanpur of Parsa district received one bus each.
