Flood forces school closure

Charikot, August 5:

The Lumnang Primary School, situated 48 miles far from Dolakha district headquarters, Charikot, at Lamabagar village development committee ward number one, Lapchi closed down again this year after the flooding Ghodamure river recently washed away a bridge.

The District Education Office had initiated for reopening the school this year after six years of closure. Pasang Sherpa, chairman of School management committee said the school was shut because no students could cross the river to reach the school. There were 14 students and one teacher in the school.
