Nima Gharti Magar wins first gold medal for Nepal in 12th SAG

KATHMANDU: Wushu player Nima Gharti Magar earned the first gold medal for Nepal during the ongoing 12th South Asian Games, in Shilong of India, on Monday. The teenage girl scored 8.46 to earn the first gold for Nepal. India and Pakistan won the silver and the bronze medals in the competition respectively. A 10th grader at a local school in Kathmandu, Magar had participated in an international competition for the first time this year. Meanwhile, Yuvaraj Thapa won a silver medal in wushu today. Nepal so far has won 11 medals including one gold, four silver and six bronze.
