Nepali Congress calls CWC meet at 11 am

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) has called an emergency meeting of its Central Working Committee at the party headquarters in Sanepa at 11 am on Tuesday. The party has called the meeting following the sudden demise of party President and former Prime Minister Sushil Koirala. The meeting is likely to announce condolence programmes for Koirala and postponement of the general convention related programmes. The body of Koirala will be kept at the party office in Sanepa for the final tributes. The former Prime Minister, who had announced his candidacy for the Nepali Congress top leadership in the upcoming general convention, died of cardiac arrest this morning. He was 76.
