TSC to announce vacancy for permanent teachers

Kathmandu, February 15 Teachers Service Commission (TSC) will soon call vacancy for more than 600 permanent secondary level teachers in community schools. The spokesperson of TSC, Sudarshan Marahattha, today said the commission was making internal preparations to announce the vacancy for permanent teachers in the secondary level. The meeting of the commission will finalise the date for the announcement of vacancy and exams. “We have to conduct the exam within this fiscal and the vacancy will be announced soon”, Marahattha said. As stated by Marahattha, the DoE has sent details of 611 vacant posts of teachers in secondary level across the country. The DoE had said that they needed teachers for 15 subjects such as English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Accounts, Economics, including others. Marahattha said that they have geared up to prepare for the exams.He further said that currently the TSC was busy preparing for the teaching licence test and the test for promotion of permanent teachers through internal competition. The TSC is going to conduct teaching licence test on February 26 and 27 and the test for promotion of teachers on February 28. The exam for the teaching license and promotion of permanent teachers will be held in Biratnagar for eastern development region, Chitwan for central development region, Pokhara for western development region, Nepalgunj for mid-western development region and Dhangadi for far-western development region. He said, “We have already completed the workshop and orientation programme in a few development regions such as eastern, far western and central and we will be completing workshop for the remaining regions within this week.” He also informed that the TSC was mulling a change in the curriculum for the exam of permanent teachers. “We have already talked to the subject expert regarding the change of curriculum for the test,” he said.
