3 held in possession of 7.3 kg hashish

JAJARKOT: Police on Friday arrested three persons in possession of 7.3 kilograms of hashish from two places of the district. Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of security personnel from District Police Office, Jajarkot and police post at Pul Matela, Jagatipur-1 in the district arrested Shahadev Khatri (28) of Karkigaun VDC-3. Police confiscated two kilograms of hashish from Khatri. The drug was hidden in his bag, in the bus Lu 1 Kha 6871, on which he was travelling from Jajarkot to Nepalgunj, according to DSP Dan Bahadur Malla of District Police Office, Jajarkot. Similarly, two others were also detained in possession of 5.3 kilograms of hashish, from Syanpi, Sima VDC-9, in the same morning. The detainees have been identified as Rike Khatri (54) of Goreto VDC-2 and Bhadra Bahadur Singh (60) of Bajedichaur VDC-5, both from Surkhet district. The confiscated illegal drugs were brought from Karkigaun, informed police. While the investigations with the arrestees are underway, police are also looking for the suspected drug dealers from Karkigaun, said DSP Malla.
